I love this product. I use NanoUltra^TM on a daily basis. My residential customers are constantly commenting on the difference they can see in their windows months after we have completed the service. These before and after photos "CLEARLY" show how well NanoUltra^TM works. This residence was neglected for more than four years before we came to restore the windows inside and out.

I serviced a house located in Southern California in San Clemente City. A poorly designed garden sprinkler system cost my customer repeatable problems with hard water on her kitchen window. When Columbus Window Cleaning was first approached by Nanophase Technologies to serve as an alpha tester of their new NanoUltra^TM product line, I jumped at the chance. For the past ten years I’ve watched my window cleaners systematically treat our customer’s heavily stained windows using virtually every glass restoration product on the market – and various combinations of them! – with varying degrees of success.

Other window cleaners know what I mean: you can scrub some windows all you want, but the stains never quite come off, leaving you with frustrated employees and unhappy customers. In the meantime, your window cleaners are working with extremely acidic and hazardous products. Then it rains the next day, and you’re right back where you started, watching the minerals build up again! Nanophase Technologies has developed something completely different, using nanotechnology. Most people hear ‘nanotechnology’ and think it’s all about tiny robots, but in this case it’s simply a method of restoring glass to a like-new finish, without resorting to harsh chemicals. And they get amazing results! I can attest to that first-hand.

Beginning in July 2008, Columbus Window Cleaning began testing all of the NanoUltra^TM products on a variety of buildings in Central Ohio.

Under my observation, and that of the Nanophase chemists responsible for the development of the products, a specially trained crew of window cleaners applied NanoUltra^TM Architectural Glass Stain Remover and Polish and Super Hydrophilic Window Technology Treatment to several large commercial buildings and small retail spaces. The windows included those free of stains all the way up to those that showed severe, Stage II corrosion. Even with 100 years of experience to our name, Columbus Window Cleaning was astounded at how well the NanoUltra^TM products worked, once we mastered the techniques necessary to correctly apply them to the glass. Even the very worst Stage II corrosion showed significant improvement! Better still, the products are much gentler and more environmentally friendly than many other stain removers, a fact my window cleaners and customers appreciate! We spent the autumn months observing the long-term progress of the treated windows, tracking weather data and periodically testing the glass to ensure that they were maintaining their dirt-repellant properties.

As you can see, there is no trace of dirt or stain on the treated window! (Now, I know what you’re thinking: Doesn’t that mean the property manager won’t need our services as frequently?) Perhaps – but time is money, and the time we save not scrubbing away at the windows on this building is time we can spend on other jobs, expanding our business.

Columbus Window Cleaning is in the process of designing a formal training program so that we can share our expertise in the techniques best-suited to the NanoUltra^TM product line with other window cleaners. These products are an invaluable tool for any window cleaning company that is seeking to grow or offer any sort of glass restoration services, and I assure you, NanoUltra^TM products will be a part of Columbus Window Cleaning’s bag of tricks from now on. We’ll be rolling these great products out to our residential customers this spring!
